Lupe, Andre 3000, Jay Elec, Talib, these are a few of the artist that keep hip hop an art form. Jay, Nas they are fantastic but both have the tendency to go commercial at any moment if the money is right. Now 2 artist that are very interesting right now are Drake and J Cole, because both are aware of hip hop history, show mad love to the the greats before them and are very lyrically gifted but they don't rap to their potential.

Drake is a MONSTER, but its hard to keep up with him because he squanders his punch lines on sissy shit. He's so into rapping about broads that he rarely gives you anything like, Fear or Uptown or You Know You Know. A large portion of this I feel is he can't show up label mate Lil Wayne. If you listen to any of Wayne's music when he began to blow up, it screams Drake. Since he has given Weezy this image through his lyrics, he can't take that persona back so Weezy reeps the benefits of Drake's better flows. The flows directed towards females is .what's selling right now, and his label has him pushing that crap out like clock work. Us hip hop heads don't wanna hear Find Your Love when were expecting What I'm Thinking Right Now. Also with Drake being an actor, you can clearly see he is acting out a role when he performs. It's like he studied a bunch of his favorite rappers and incorporated their onstage presence into his own.

Cole I recently got hip to, but I already think the dude is SICK. He makes hip hop fun with his punch lines, and he delivers shit that makes you have to listen to it again. My only problem with Cole so far is that he taps about hoes and is too playful with his lyrics. If he got a real topic and left the bitches alone dude would be bananas. He has Nas type flow in him and when he perfects his craft he will be mentioned as one of the dopest ever. He handled the so called he and Drake beef wonderfully, which shows his mind frame is ready for the spotlight.

You Fancy Huh???

If given a false perception, is it your fault for not being wiry of deception. Many women display "avatars" of themselves, and expect men to be okay with it when we see the real deal. Weave, nails, make-up, breast implants, booty pops, and even girdles are false representations of women that we are suppose to learn to love and live with, but they are all lies. Some, I understand are used to enhance, but not to be used as a permanent fixture upon your appearance. It's so common now, that you damn near have to ask, "so what about you is real?" Do men have the right to be upset when they find out about this illusion you women are giving off? A women would be upset if the shoe were on the other foot. What if I were to throw on one of those A-shirts that make it appear as if I had Adrian Peterson abs, or I come into the bed room with a penis enlargement, or I'm spending my rent check buying the bar out? A woman would be real pissed when they learned it wasn't legit, but that's the deception you give us and expect us to be fooled, or just go on like nothings wrong when we find out your cute face and thin waist is a fairy tale...... Man fuck that! You know people see serious time for falsifying evidence, right? Honestly, I am attracted to women with long hair, so if you have a short due, then I may just be missing out on whatever you have to offer and that's all on me. But that's my preference, so short haired woman, don't give me a look that's not really you and be like fuck that nigga when I'm like I'm cool, thanks for the bullshit baby girl. Some of you are missing out on a man because your not showing the real you. Yes women, when we see you out, something physical on you is what sparks us, gosh I hope you knew that, so show me what you got really. Guilty Until Proven Innocent

Okay, okay, okay, recently I put up a status on FB speaking about the whole Jay Z devil-worshipping topic that’s sweeping the nation. I stated that Jay put out a new verse where he states he isn’t a devil worshipper and that he is a man of God. Nearly everyone who posted something stated that Jay was lying, lol. Now before you read further, note that I am a man of God, and music lyrics will not sway my faith. I just wanna play devil’s advocate, how fitting was that, to the topic since so many people are going off of what someone else has told them.
 
First off, the worst possible argument to be put forth in this topic is people saying, “well he worships the devil, of course he’s lying”. Well, for all we know, you could be lying. It’s only a few people that really know you, and I ain’t one of them, so shit you could be the dark prince himself and I wouldn’t know, I only know what you tell me.
 
Secondly, who in the hell says that freemasons are satanist or devil worshipers?? That IS TOTALLY STUPID!! MOST of them are preachers and have to take an oath of GOD!! So Martin L. King Jr. was a satanist? PLEASE EDUCATE and stop spreading IGNORANCE. If you are not in their organization then you will NEVER know the truth.
 
Jay is well spoken and use a lot of word the average mind probably can’t comprehend. Have any of you ever looked up the definition of the word run? It has at least 2 full pages of meanings, I only know this because I used to have to write it out when I got in trouble lol. He uses words and phrases with a variety of meanings, and most folks only use the simpliest form to understand what he is saying, and yes I called you simple if you don’t get that. One quick example, “And if you feel in my heart that i long for revenge
Please blame it on the SUN of the MOURNIN”. I bet many people interpret those few bars as “Please blame it on the SON of the MORNING”. Try pulling out that thesaurus and upping your vocab game, lol!!!!
 
Another valid point of view, most celebrities are subject to trends like everyone else. They have stylist that put them in whatever is hot for the season. It is plenty of people who put on clothes with signs and symbols on them, and had no idea what it means. So to say that the clothes they wear in there videos, which someone is directing them what to do, is a true sign of what they really mean is once again dumb. I bet I can get on FB and pull up a lot of things people wear and didn’t know that the symbol may mean something to an ancient culture.
 
I seen an argument saying the gained there wealth and fame to quickly and that’s proof of them worshiping satan. They both have been in there industry for 15+ years and that decent amount of time to accumulate these things if you are driven on your goal. Michael Jackson was the biggest thing on the planet once upon a time, and a lot of his videos had demonic themes, why did he get a pass? Jay and Bey have put in an enormous amount of charity to help better the world, but since its not front page you look past it. Now why would someone trying to destroy the world put in so much money and time to helping it recover?
 
Jay throwing up the ROC is his trademark hand jesture. I have heard people say that in his videos, him and Beyonce put up a pyramid over there left eyes that is supposed to be satanic in ritual. It’s a diamond!!!!! Delta Sigma Theta throws up the same sign, are they a satanic organization??? He has be using that symbol for years, and when Roc A Fella Records was on top, so were you.
 
I even read somewhere that Aaliyah, God rest her beautiful soul, was part of this so called group, and her name means “Dark Angel”. Everyone’s name has some meaning, and a lot of people don’t know what their’s is interepeted to mean. My name means warrior, my son’s name means god of war, does that make us any different then the kind hearted people we are because our names have aggressive meanings?
 
This is all I felt like getting into currently, and it was meant to make people to at least try to think for themselves. Following this trend without giving logical thought to it kinda shows that those who believe that they are evil are sheep, and willing to follow anything someone can talk them into. If that’s the case, I got cure for cancer and it will cost you, lol!!!!!! A lot of the hype behind this is people listening to others and not clearly examining for themselves. I bet a lot of you think the word “sex” is in the Lion King too, lol.

Women Lie, Men Lie

Marriage, a union of which is done so under God, i.e. holy matrimony. So why is it so common to find someone who has cheated on there spouse? I lot of people don't see it as so, but during the wedding presentation, a set of phrases are asked to ensure the purity of this union. For whatever reason tho, people stand there and go through all the motions and still state I do when prompted to... Does anyone see this as lying to God? As looking the person so called love in the eyes, as well as the minister, along with the audience and under the eyes of God and vow to love and cherish the person standing across from you. What if good looks you in your eyes when your at the Gates and says "Well you deceived me when you promised to honor your marriage and I didn't appreciate that, so I hope you have sun screen". Now I know he is a forgiving God, but you deceived him, why couldn't he do the same? I am a strong believer in karma, and what if cheating on your spouse held you up in other areas? As in, your job makes you miserable, your kids are bad, financial instability, etc.
 
So I have a story for you just to display how much people neglect the sacristy of marriage: I went bar hopping this past weekend and witnessed a friend of mine try to spark a lustful relationship with several women, most were unattractive mind you, all while wearing his wedding ring..... LMAO, yes dead serious. Funny thing is, I don't think most women knew to look for his ring, nor did he prolly care to share that he was married. He even mentioned to me at the end of the nite how happy he was with the married life, and how I should look into it. Now since I am quite good looking myself, of course several women approached me on the nite, and I noticed none asked if I was involved in any type of relationship. Do we care not to ask because you are that interested in the other person, or what? It takes a lot of selflessness to be married, and a lot of people are not strong enough to put there own feelings aside for that of someone elses. What will it take to get us there?

Not to be taken lightly.

Could it All Be So Simple

Love is defined as a strong positive emotion of regard and affection. Psychology it is broken down into 3 types: Eros - erotic love, Philos love - a love based on friendship between two people, Agape - unconditional love. Biblically it is displayed several times (though there may be many more): "So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon, son of Jonah, do you LOVE (Greek: αγαπάω or agapao) Me more than these?'; and "He said to Him, 'Yes, Lord; You know that I LOVE (Greek: φιλέω or phileō) You'. If you are confused by the definition of love, then you damn well should be. It is probably the only word in the English langauge with more definitions than the word run (do look up run in the dictionary in your free time). Love is a term left up for interputation depending on your spirituality, your beliefs, your up bringing, your environment.

Hopefully you have a basic understanding or the previous paragraph gave you an understanding the term love. Next I ask, is love and marriage hard to comprehend in the black community? Marriage between black males and females are steadily declining, while marriage with black men and other races is increasing!!! Once again I am going to be bias on this subject, and state that this is mostly our faults, yes black men!!! Honestly Brothers, black women come in all shapes, sizes, hair textures (weather its theres or not is a different subject all together lol), etc. We demand so much out of our women that they either stay in an unfulfilling relationship where they are slowly dying inside and they lack the self-esteem to have a good relationship or go to the next relationship a ticking time bomb from what we put them through. Black men don't cherish black women as we should because there are so many of them to choose from, and that is a serious problem. Now I'm not saying that it is wrong to be in love with and marry outside of your race, but I know way too many black men who do so because they would rather not deal with the stereotypical characteristics of black women. Funny thing in my opinion is, those stereotypical characteristics are what make black women so wonderful. Dealing with such strong personalities make us stronger and able to deal with confrontation easier. Men also have a satisfaction issue, which sometimes lead us to do some dumb ass things. One of my favorite self made sayings is, "Why look for a million and one dollars when you already have a million dollars". A large amount of black men search for "something better" without giving any thought to what they already possess as in pursuing someone already involved. Most men think, "well I'm not doing it so I'm not worried about it", and that's a major problem as well. We should not let our friends put their women in such positions. Yes you should not get involved in their relationships, but should let them know when they are wrong and when they are wrong to their women. If you are not ready, don't put that women through your bullshit and fuck her up. We can string a women on for years just for her not to be the one, and that leaves her scared for the next brother. Black unity is an amazing thing, but we are destroying ourselves internally by how we are viewed by other races, and the young men to follow behind us. Black men have always been leaders, be strong enough to lead with us in this particular venture, the search for black love. I could go on so much more, and ladies I haven't forgotten about your part in this, I just wanted to throw something out there.

Respect thy Fathers

After reading countless post stating, "Happy Father's Day to all my single mothers", I literally got thrown off on how disrespectful females can be. Ladies, how many status updates do you see on Mother's Day from single fathers stating, "Happy Mother's Day to all my single dads"? Zero!!!!!! If you have hard feelings for your own father, realize he is the reason you are here. So pray on it and respect him, but in no way am I saying you have to like them. Also no matter how you feel about your child's father, he is the reason you are blessed with your child today. Once again, you don't have to like him, but I recommend you respect him. Children pick up on a lot more than most of us realize. I listen to my daugther every day ask questions that most adults don't have the mental capacity to think about and ask. For some women, he wasn't an asshole when you choose to let him go in, or you just chose not to notice. For some women, it isn't even about the kids, its about what he did to you. He may be the best father in the world, but what he may have done to the woman, dictates what how you let him interact with the child. Some men, and I am not condoning this, cut there losses with the child because they don't wanna deal with the mother. The emotional struggle that some mothers put the fathers through is absolutely unnessacary, but to their defense, the men should be strong enough to deal with whatever for their child, since they had no problem getting in the bed with the mother. If you don't want to acknowledge your BD on this day, try saying nothing, silence is a very strong weapon. All in all, there is absolutely no excuse for a dead beat father, but at least show them some respect and respect for their day, because if not for them, you wouldn't have the blessing or blessings you have today.

When the Planets Align

So for the first time ever, I will be a father. And during the months leading up to this point, I've ran millions of scenerios on how his life will play out, and I haven't even met him yet. When you have a child, genetically, they're clones of the parents, good and bad. So with that said, what "good" qualities do I teach him dealing with character? Of course I teach him the simple things: believe in the word of the Lors, be respectful, importance of education, etc. But what about, how to be good at gambling, or how to get 5+ phone numbers in a night, or the Harrison men's "Gift of Gab", or what about what to do in bed to drive women wild. 
Some of those seem bad or wrong, but were things put in my life that helped shaped me into who I am. But with these things, who deem them wrong? Some of these are great qualities to some. Where I grew up, you had to have card savy or you lost lunch money, he will surely need to know how to approach women, and how to please his partner. Will I teach him how to be passive like me, or will I promote him to be outspoken and not passive at all? 
I am a person who sees 2 sides to everything, and it's funny but with him, see nothing but positive endings. It's funny how I will give ANYTHING I possess to ensure he is happy and successful. Total dedication to someone I can only feel whem they kick lol. I've never understood how men can let petty conflict between the mother and themselves have any effect on how they interact with their child. You don't have to ever think about the mother again, but you will always have the child to think of. We all try to be happy, but it should reach a point when seeing them happy is what you want more than anything. 
My excitment level is through the roof, and I can not wait to encorperate him into my life. I am now starting to see myself as a guide for him to be all he can be and the best he can be at whatever he chooses to do. I will always be an open book to "the Sequel", but I don't know if that's good or bad lol.
